Colour Room, 2015

Cellophane on windows

Colour room was installed in a room at UNSW Art and Design. Different coloured cellophane was applied to the windows to change the room through colour and light. During the day, the sunlight shone through the windows, creating a multicoloured stained glass window effect. It also spread coloured light around the room, projecting colours onto the floors, objects and people in the room. During the night, the room transformed into a colourful glowing box when the light was on and the room was viewed from the outside.
